Not to mention the “health benefits” of tea are an Urban Myth generated by an over zealous marketing industry. The research that is most often used to show tea’s health benefits, completely destroys that image when you read that these benefits are “similar to drinking adequate quantities of water” each day. And let’s see, tea is primarily .. uhm … water. Yeah.
I gotta agree with ECG, A lot of teas are filled with anti-oxidants which increase your health drastically! not only that they are packed full of helpful compounds
Not to mention that this “small German study” performed “on 16 humans”, an impossibly small data set, fails to mention how milk actually blocks the positive effects of tea. Save for this little tidbit: “The caseins in milk prevented this effect by reducing the concentration of catechins in the tea.” Is this meant in the same way that adding water to a cup of juice would “reduce the concentration” of sugar in the juice? Meaning that overall the net amount of catechins (or sugar) ingested is the same and it’s concentration is only changed relative to the solute? As a science major that article leaves quite a bit to be desired for me.
If I can take such wonderful photos of coffee, milk, tea… I would definitely not think of health benefits… I will be thrilled to be there at the “right place and right time” and I am super jealous of the photographer for being able to do just that!
Have enough coffee, and you become so tense you miss a beautiful picture while obsessing about health. Have a even more, and you start moving so fast you can take a shot like this without a high-speed camera.

BUT
Milk in tea ‘blocks health gains’
Adding milk to a cup of tea can destroy its ability to protect against heart disease, according to research.

Mar 30th, 2010This is spectacular.
And almost the perfect amount of cream to add to a cup of coffee, in my opinion.

Mar 30th, 2010Coffee is the most putrid, disgusting drink ever conceived by the devil. They should have used milk with a drop of chocolate — then you’d have art.
